02 The reality

The risks of IT with no one in charge

With no one in charge, nothing is documented or anticipated, and every outage is handled in a rush.

  1. 01

    Nobody really looks after IT

It's the employee 'most comfortable with computers' who deals with problems, between two other tasks. Nothing is documented, nothing is anticipated.

  2. 02

    Backups are never tested

You have 'something' that backs up, but no one has ever checked that a restore actually works. You find out on the day of the disaster.

  3. 03

    Support keeps you waiting

When a workstation breaks down, you call a provider who answers when they can. Meanwhile, an employee cannot work.

  4. 04

    Security relies on luck

Shared passwords, postponed updates, accounts of former employees still active. So many open doors that nobody is watching.

03 What is included

Everything an SME expects from an IT service

The scope of the plan is defined in writing: what is covered, and what is not.

01

Workstation management

Installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of all your workstations. A fleet that is up to date, clean and consistent.

02

User support

Your employees contact us directly. Critical incidents are handled within 4 business hours, by a team that knows your environment.

03

Microsoft 365 management

Accounts, licences, access, mailboxes, file sharing. Arrivals and departures handled cleanly, with no ghost accounts.

04

Monitored backups

Automatic backups and, above all, verified ones. We regularly test restores so they work the day you need them.

05

Updates and security

Critical patches applied, antivirus managed, basic hardening. We close the gaps before they are exploited.

06

Documentation and monthly report

Your infrastructure is documented. Every month, a clear report on what was done, what was detected and what is recommended.

04 The plans

Three service levels to match your needs

From solid day-to-day support to complete sovereignty over your data. You choose the level that fits your business.

Essential

1'500 CHF

per month

Business

2'500 CHF

per month

One employee = one person and their devices (computer, tablet, phone). Printers, scanners, network and Wi-Fi included. First server or NAS included; additional equipment on request.

Prices exclude any VAT and third-party costs. Minimum 6-month commitment, then renewal in successive 6-month periods. Day-to-day support is included in the plan, within a fair-use scope defined in the contract; any exceptional work outside the scope is announced and approved before invoicing.

Between 10 and 20 employees, the right plan depends on the level of delegation you want: Essential for solid monitoring with remote support, Business for full delegation with enhanced supervision.

05 The handover

From the first assessment to day-to-day management

Taking over an infrastructure happens in stages, with a planned and documented transition. At the end, you know what is running, who has access and how it is protected.

  1. 01

    Assessment of what exists

An engineer analyses your workstations, servers, backups, security and priorities. You leave with concrete first recommendations.

  2. 02

    Documented handover

We document your infrastructure and take over gradually. A planned transition, with downtime kept to a minimum.

  3. 03

    Bringing things up to standard

We first fix the urgent problems: untested backups, orphan accounts, shared passwords, overdue patches.

  4. 04

    Day-to-day management

We manage, we monitor, we answer you. Every month, a clear report. You only hear from us when it is useful.

06 For whom

AlpenCare is right for you if…

  • You are an SME in French-speaking Switzerland with 3 to 50 employees and no full-time in-house IT person.
  • Your IT is currently managed 'on the side' by an employee who already has another job.
  • You want a predictable IT budget, with no surprise quote at every incident.
  • You need a single, local point of contact who answers in your language on Swiss time.
  • Compliance with the Swiss Data Protection Act and data hosting in Switzerland matter to your business.
07 AlpenCare FAQ

Frequently asked questions about AlpenCare

Can’t find your answer?

Ask us your question
01 How does per-employee pricing work?

You pay a fixed monthly fee per employee: one person and their devices (computer, tablet, phone). Printers, scanners, network and Wi-Fi are included, as is the first server or NAS; each additional device is a separate flat fee, quoted on request. The price depends on the chosen service level (Essential, Business or Sovereign). The plan covers your teams' day-to-day support, with no hour counter, within a fair-use scope defined in the contract. If an exceptional need falls outside this scope (a project, a redesign, a major out-of-scope incident), it is quoted, announced and approved before invoicing.

02 What does support include and how fast do you respond?

Your employees contact us directly for any IT problem. Critical incidents are handled within 4 business hours for clients under contract. Out-of-hours on-call support can be arranged contractually if your business requires it. Day-to-day support is included in the plan, with no per-hour metering: your employees never hesitate to call us.

03 Can you take over an existing infrastructure managed by another provider?

Yes, this is the most common situation. We start with an audit of what exists, document everything, then take over gradually in coordination with your former provider if needed. The transition is planned to keep downtime to a minimum.

04 What is the commitment period?

AlpenCare contracts start at 6 months. That is the minimum time for managed IT to have a real, measurable impact on your infrastructure. After the first 6 months, the contract renews for successive 6-month periods.

05 Does my data stay in Switzerland?

For the services we operate directly, we favour Swiss infrastructure, in particular Infomaniak. Depending on your environment, some existing tools may however impose their own hosting constraints. The Sovereign plan aims to reduce these dependencies as much as possible.

06 Do I already need to be set up on Microsoft 365?

No. We manage Microsoft 365 environments but also Swiss alternatives (Infomaniak kSuite). If you want to reduce your dependency on foreign clouds, that is precisely the purpose of the Sovereign plan.
