Sectors · Trustees and fiduciaries
When tax deadlines come due, your IT has no right to come down with them. AlpenData manages the IT of trustees and fiduciaries in French-speaking Switzerland: zero interruption during your critical periods, protected client files, and repetitive data entry removed.
Real situations
No theory: here is what we encounter with trustees and fiduciaries in French-speaking Switzerland, and what we do about it.
What we find
March, the year-end closings pile up, the tax deadlines come due. And that is precisely the moment the server gives out or the accounting software stops responding. Every hour of downtime is paid back in evenings of catch-up work.
What we do
Continuous monitoring, maintenance scheduled outside your critical periods and priority incident handling during your peaks. We align our calendar with yours, not the other way around.
What we find
The accounting archives of dozens of clients sit on a NAS that has been blinking green for years. No one has ever checked that a restore actually works.
What we do
Automatic backups with regular restore testing, documented in your monthly report. You know precisely what you can recover, and in how much time.
What we find
Trustees handle their clients' payments and e-banking access: a prime target. A fake "urgent" email from a client, and a transfer ends up in the wrong place.
What we do
Systematic two-factor authentication, hardening of the workstations that touch e-banking, and concrete awareness training for the team on the fraud we actually see circulating in French-speaking Switzerland.
What we find
Re-keying clients' PDF invoices into the accounting software, chasing those who don't send their documents, consolidating Excel files: billable hours lost every week.
What we do
AlpenFlow automatically extracts data from documents (supplier, amount, date, line items) and feeds it into your tool. The reminders go out on their own. First simple automation from CHF 1,999, a fixed price agreed before we start.
What we find
An employee who left two years ago may still have access to your clients' accounting. No one keeps a list of who can access what.
What we do
Regular access reviews, clean handling of arrivals and departures, and complete documentation: at any moment, you know who can open which file.
What we put in place
Start with what gains you the most, without committing to everything at once.

Yes, that is the whole principle. Scheduled interventions (migrations, major updates, hardware changes) are slotted in outside your closing periods and tax deadlines. During those periods, we switch to "stability first" mode: enhanced monitoring and incidents handled as a priority.
We manage the environment around your business tools (Crésus, WinBIZ, Abacus, Dr. Tax and others): workstations, server, backups, access, system updates. For questions specific to the software itself, we coordinate directly with the vendor, so that you don't have to play the middleman.
The most profitable cases: extracting data from PDF invoices into your accounting software, automatic reminders to clients who don't send their documents, consolidation of Excel files, generation of periodic reports. During the first meeting, we identify together the 3 tasks that cost you the most billable hours.
For the services we operate (backups, email, files), we favour Swiss infrastructure, notably with Infomaniak. For a trustee firm, this is also an argument towards your own clients: you can document where their data is.
We take it into account without turning it into a project of its own: documented hosting, controlled access and verified backups already cover most of the requirements. If you need a formal assessment (record of processing activities, action plan), a one-off data protection audit is available as an IT Project, between CHF 1,500 and 3,500.
